Welcome
to the One More Time Soldiers web site. We manufacture
and sell a range of pewter toy soldiers and figures from different
countries around the world.
Our lead free items are manufactured
in Merimbula NSW Australia and are made from an alloy containing 93%
tin, 6% antimony with 1% copper. Some Items are cast from imported
moulds whilst others are cast in moulds designed by us.
All our figurines suit 1/32 scale models and are available painted
or unpainted.
Due to the nature of the alloy, some people may even like them
polished.
We started
to manufacture these soldiers 14th September 2001 for collectors
and others that wish to play war games. Each week from 1st
January 2002 we intend to add one or two figurines to our
range. They have a lot of detail and will give years of pleasure.
In 1948 I had a job after
school making toy soldiers. I also collected the lead with
which they were manufactured. I worked for a old gentleman
who taught me lots of skills making moulds heating metal and
gravity casting. He called himself FOUR SQUARE SOLDIERS and
operated from a shop on the corner of Mein Street and Daniel
Street Newtown, New Zealand.

Well here I am again 54 years
later doing the same thing but with more modern ideas. Now retired
I have been working on these models for the last year. I decided
to put them on the web and was surprised by the amount of interest
shown for pewter soldiers.
All
of the casting's are made with a food grade pewter. Modern,
high grade pewter is a alloy of tin, copper and antimony and
is sometimes referred to as Britannia metal. The pewter of old
days consisted of tin and lead which gave it it's dark blackish
colour and even today some cheap "pewter" pieces may be made
of an alloy containing lead. All our products are safe for all
ages to handle. I will be increasing my range each week so be
sure to bookmark this site and visit again.
